United Press reports Harrisburg July 19 the Public Service Commission set a new high level of activity in the first half of 19 with 1500 plus formal proceedings 2447 formal hearings and 1688 informal complaints investigated 11283 tariffs filed 85 reparation petitions and about 15000 form letters prepared during this period the commission heard 38 oral arguments and discarded 56 complaints outside its jurisdiction.

Bullets Fired At Basco In Apparent Life Attempt
John Basco of 1353 W 21st reports two shots fired near his home on Saturday and one more on Tuesday night. Bullets missed by inches from a rifle possibly from a green house on Baur Avenue. Basco provides little leads and suspects no enemies. Nearby data shows Olympia has 4,360 lawyers with 1,164 in King County. four counties have only three lawyers.
