Tri State flood control bill eyed for jobs boom
Senator William B Rodgers of Pittsburgh heads the Tri State Authority advocating a federal adoption of the flood control plan. The 18 reservoir system spanning Pennsylvania Ohio and West Virginia would cost about 70000000 and create about 95000 jobs over four years. The project aims to protect millions in the Ohio River basin and would channel 80 percent of funds to labor directly and via material supply and related transport work.
