Women drivers not up to men says Josie von Neumann

Los Angeles AP reports Josie von Neumann, a seven year rival of men, says women are not in the same league as men in racing and traffic. She will race Sunday in Riverdale International Raceway's 150 mile Grand Prix. Josie, 27, cites mental attitude concentration and self preservation as lacking in women and notes her stepfather Johnny von Neumann is a top driver.

Corry Airman Unhurt In Warren Crash

One person was injured and a Corry airman arrested after a two car crash in Warren on Wednesday. Bill Miller, 29, a state trooper assigned to the Warren substation, was treated for a lacerated lip. His wife, Mrs. Miller, was shaken but unharmed. The other driver, Paul Sturdevant, 26, an airman on furlough from Dover Air Base, was charged with driving too fast for conditions and pled guilty, paying $10 and court costs. Officer Miller arrested him. the collision occurred as Miller turned left and Sturdevant’s car struck the rear of his vehicle, propelling a child into the dashboard.

Rapist Of Negro Girl 11 Gets Life

A white father of four, Betts, 38, was sentenced to life for raping an 11 year old Black girl. A Maury County jury of 12 white men spared the death penalty, recommending mercy after a 2½ hour deliberation.
