Camp slayings puzzle Nevada County authorities look for motive
Authorities searched the Sierra foothills for a suspect and motive after a camp at a Bear River riverbank near Nevada City saw two killed and three wounded. Sheriff Brown said he and relatives of the victims are baffled as the attacker, described as a maniacal attacker wielding a heavy sharp weapon, slipped in around 11 pm. Witnesses recalled a grinning aggressor who threatened a couple at their tent and then attacked others. Satan’s pistol was missing after the assault and the killer fled.

Alleged Kayak Thieves Nabbed by State Trooper
State Trooper Clare Stile on the way home yesterday arrested Harley AL Hall of 920 East Sixth Street and two juveniles for stealing two kayaks from Newland's amusement park at Canadohta.
