The race was won by Fred Behwenik aged 14.

New York July 13 The United Electrical Workers said it withdrew objections to National Labor Relations Board election results in 12 plants of General Electric and Westinghouse Electric. UE had contested with the International Union of Electrical Workers set up by the CIO to replace it. The filings followed elections in April and May. President Albert J Fitzgerald accused the companies of using objections to dodge good faith bargaining with all employees.
