Williams Named Aide To CJ Head At Corry Jamestown Corp

Charles Williams, longtime office manager of Corry Jamestown Corp, is named assistant to the president by D Armour Hillstrom. He will oversee relations between Corry and Ohio Chair Co. Youngstown and will plan chair production needs and scheduling. He also handles design of a new office, contract letting, and moving pastimes to the 1962 building. Williams aids marketing heads in expanding dealer and customer relations in Corry.

Khrushchev Warns War If U2 Flights Resume

Premier Nikita Khrushchev warned at a Kremlin news conference that resuming U2 spy flights over the Soviet Union would heat tensions to a boiling point and bring about war. Corry District Reports Year End Balance For 1959 60

Corry School District ended the 1959 60 fiscal year with a $58 259 balance. Treasurer R Elwin Fuller presented the final report at a brief meeting at the high school. The district benefited from tax collections exceeding estimates and lower than expected expenditures. The board approved a $2 250 bid for transporting elementary students to Wright School. Transportation costs exceeded the budget by $500. The district will not be reimbursed by the state for transport, but maintains the program as a courtesy. Hein Muller, 68, longtime president of Longines Whitmayer Watch Co and 50 year company member, died yesterday at his Manhattan home. Born in Switzerland, he led the firm for 24 years.

Corry Area Joint School Committee reports year in black

The Corry Area Joint School Committee, in its July session at Corry Area High School, announced a 1959 60 year end cash balance of 31108 and began bids for transporting special education students. Low bid came from Mrs. Leon Proctor at 20.50 per day, with others from FP L Baressi, Corry Auto Auction, Union City Taxi Co and Corry City Cab Co.

Mayor Kinley Accepts State Auditor Post

Mayor J. Fred Kinley will join the auditor general’s office in Harrisburg, auditing state aided institutions including hospitals in the northwestern Pennsylvania territory. City to bid on E South Street repairs
