Tragic sinking of Chilean transport Angalos near Lebu

Italians Plan Rio Flight After Natal Landing

Majors Arturo Furratín and Carlo Del Prete, who crossed the Atlantic from Rome to Brazil in a Savoia Marchetti monoplane, will resume their journey toward Rio de Janeiro midweek. They returned to Natal from Touros, the large craft requiring repairs after a landing on a hill near Lake Cate. Local residents, a 5,000 strong population in Tous, celebrated the arrival.

Two Killed and Fourteen Hurt in Erie Auto Wrecks

In Erie over the weekend a series of automobile accidents killed Joseph Gacxkowski and Clarence Davis and injured fourteen others. Victims include John Abramowalki and Victoria and Anna Sakalowski with multiple fractures, Julia Hermanowski with arm and hand injuries, and Howard Bacon who escaped serious harm. Gacxkowski died when his car struck a tree on McKean Road. Davis died when his car swiped a hill and rolled, crushing him. Leonard Whaley and his brother Oliver were hospitalized with suspected skull fracture and injuries from a Harborcreek crash. several others escaped serious injury.

Two Halfasts Are Injured In Pittsfield Crash

Mr H R Halfast and son Albert were injured when their car left the road three miles west of Pittsfield at 11 30 Sunday. The car struck a concrete culvert and overturned. Mrs Halfast and Betty Jean were thrown from the vehicle and shaken. Albert suffered a leg fracture and lacerations while the son’s head and eye injuries were noted. Lois and the other child escaped unhurt. The family, from Hast Wayne Street, were en route to Grand Valley.

The War Department was advised that Emilia Carranza, who recently flew from Mexico to the United States, plans to start at Roosevelt Field, New York, this evening for a non stop flight to Mexico City.
