Perry Kansas January 29 Margaret Brown seven years old has lived two days on oxygen and transfused blood doctors said she was sinking rapidly after failing to rally from two transfusions late yesterday and no further transfusion would prolong her life. She contracted pneumonia more than two weeks ago and ten days ago doctors had to drain her lung cavity to prevent suffocation. When drainage failed firemen began artificial respiration.
Sixty nine cases are listed for presentation to the February grand jury led by LeRoy Search. Two manslaughter cases lead the schedule along with a shooting with intent to kill charge and several minor charges. Local defendants James Carroll and Steve Timlin face larceny and liquor-law violations respectively, with Carroll also tied to a farm raid that yielded a still and liquor. Carroll’s case is set for Tuesday at 1 40, Timlin’s for the following afternoon at the same time.

Martin C. Cornell 41 Erie attorney and former city solicitor died early this morning at his home 815 Raspberry street after about two weeks of illness marked by pleuro pneumonia. He had served as assistant city solicitor for six years and was city solicitor from 1916 to 1920.
Harrisburg January 29 The number of bills introduced in the House passed the 500 mark during this mornings session. At the close of last night’s reunion the total was 484 with sixty nine bills introduced this morning bringing the total to 503.
