Reports of street mischief and attempted entries include a wire incident near Maple Avenue and a failed ground floor entry at Pur-Yura Fruit Store. Patrol units investigated, with tracks in snow suggesting two involved. Erie metro area construction in 1940 rose five percent from 1939, led by non residential and engineering work. Also noted are health concerns from a Warren guest in critical condition, pursuit of a deserter in Westfield and Ripley, and neighborhood disturbances resolved without arrests. Short-hand classes and public school updates follow, plus a convention notice for Township Supervisors in Williamsport and Red Cross garment efforts in the city.
