Johnny Allen allegedly cashed dozen checks at Coly merchants totaling about 130 to 200 dollars as he roamed stores seeking credit. Police report eleven worthless checks turned up late Monday with more possible. Local merchants cashing checks led to the spree ending when bank actions began Monday morning. Authorities issued a warrant with little progress on Allen’s whereabouts.
