Wilson sees no need for armed forces changes

Wilson said the Navy would keep 1,000 ships including 405 warcraft and that Marines would end air reserves, leaving about 10,000 air crews. Navy strength would fall from 687,000 to 664,000 and Marines from 221,000 to about 193,000. He argued for fewer defense cuts despite higher combat wings than a year earlier. More people in the United States play the piano than all other instruments combined.
