Dickinson area reports 47 college graduates and six law graduates at mid year exercises with Dr. Daniel L. Marsh of Boston University as speaker. In absentia diplomas awarded to 20 armed forces law graduates. Also covers local fires, accidents, thefts, and community notices.
Wilfred P. Westley of Corry died this morning after weeks of illness at his home on Worth Street. Born June 2, 1872 in Gary he worked with his family at the Westley Cooper Shop and later at Raymond Manufacturing until retirement. Survived by wife Rose two daughters one son six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral services planned for Wednesday at 2 PM with burial Tuesday and final arrangements to follow.
Mrs. William Gates died at her Grand Valley home Sunday afternoon after a long illness. Survived by her husband a son and daughter several grandchildren and two sisters including Mrs. R. A. Catwright of East Main Street in this city.

Their brother Perry 12 remains hospitalized in critical condition at Curry hospital after the sled crash on the Gonicord road.

Stephen W. Bray, 40, who vanished from the Ontario County jail three weeks ago while serving a robbery sentence, was arrested Saturday evening after a tavern keeper notified police. Deputies and Lt. Furnest G. Potts and Theodore Altes of the local force detained Bray as he visited the Marine Water East Secone Street, and Alderman William S. Peters arraigned him. Bray waived extradition and was returned to New York state custody.
