Four Inquiries Launched Into Ohio Bus Crash
In Bellevue Ohio investigators opened four probes into a crash that killed 19 and injured many on a Greyhound bus and an interurban near a crossing. Officials said the bus driver stopped to wipe snow from the windshield before crossing. The list of dead and injured includes several named cities and individuals.

Six Killed In Two Crossing Accidents In Illinois And Ohio
Three road workers from Ladd and Spring Valley Illinois died when their airtemp vehicle collided with a westbound train at a crossing. Names include Joe Grevitts George Horn and Peter Rubecay. In Dayton two more youths Albert Ingieman Charles Walker and Effie Powers died when their roadster collided with a Big Four Passenger train at a crossing. Summers was injured.

Bus Victim Confesses to Detroit HoldUp Bellevue
Terry Branekl, a victim of a deadly bus crash that killed 19 near Bellevue, told Police Chief C E North before dying that he helped rob a Detroit bank of 26000 with two accomplices. Cattle Tests Show Low TB in Concord Township and City
Dr. F Bennett reports tuberculosis testing of cattle in Concord township and the city. Of sixty five herds tested in Concord, two reactors were found, and two reactors were found in the city. Resistance occurred at one location on Liberty street where tests continued with cooperation. Dr. Bennett expects near completion in a week in the city and Gothard township. Mrs Walter Decker was called to Centerville this morning by her mother in law Mrs W H Decker.

Three Killed in Wreck on Castle Bridge Abutment
Three persons died and one more was seriously injured when a two car train derailed on Castle bridge abutment north of Torrington Connecticut. The locomotive and a passenger car plunged over the abutment while the train caught fire. The dead include Engineer Wilson Burns of Bridgeport Fireman P. W. Shortwell of Bridgeport and John H. Geldes of Waterbury along with two passengers.

John L. Bracken died this morning at his Oil City home after weeks of illness with pneumonia. Born November 8 1808 in Columbus he had a long business career with American Express Cornwall and Reed and Logan and Bryan. Funeral services set for Friday at First Presbyterian Church with burial in Grove Hill Cemetery Oil City.

Jacob Franz Dean of local firm dies after long city service
Jacob Franz longtime Corry resident since 1862 and head of a leading furniture and undertaki ng business died at 1 20 pm at his home corner Spring and West Pleasant Streets. Born October 16 1840 in Lampertheim Germany he came to Erie then Corry. He helped establish St Elizabeth’s Church and West Pleasant Street church addition. He was active in city council and civic affairs and survived by four children and one sister. Funeral at St Elizabeth’s Church with details pending.
