Grand jury to hear 74 cases at February term
Erie January 20 a February grand jury will convene January 29 to consider 74 cases prepared by the district attorney for next month's criminal court term. At least five more cases are expected to be added. Among those poised for indictment are Fred G. Schule and Barry Palmer, previously convicted, facing new larceny and burglary charges respectively. Sam Lee's testimony aided a manslaughter verdict against Dr Robert Lee Bel, now facing aggravated assault charges. Motor violations comprise about half the docket, with intoximeter checks aiding crank-shriving cases. Interest in employee security drives rising group life insurance nationwide.
