Israel Supreme Court clears Dr Rudolf Kastner of Nazi collaboration

A five judge panel ruled that late Dr Rudolf Kastner was not a Nazi collaborator. The decision upholds Kastner as a rescuer who risked his life to save Jews in Hungary, overturning a 1956 finding that branded him a traitor. The ruling follows a private accusation by Dr Malkiel Greenwald, whose family perished in the Holocaust, and comes after Kastner was murdered in Tel Aviv last March by nationalist extremists.
