Airport Authority Elects Officers For 1976
Members of the local Airport Authority elected new officers for 1976 at yesterday's noon luncheon meeting. Walter Loveland was chosen chairman, Richard Flye vice chairman, Dennis Frushone secretary, and Hubert Vaughn treasurer. Frank Lucie of Corry's Lawrence Airport spoke as operator. The group paid tribute to late former chairman Clarence S. Wallace and noted partial airport activity slowdowns due to sow piles at runway edges. Plans for a new non directional beacon were set for early spring. Erkki Rainesalo chaired the nominating committee. Next meeting is February 11 at the Motor Inn.
