Insurance accord ends Erie man’s suit over carbon monoxide death
The Knights Life Insurance Co. won a $510 double indemnity case in which Erie resident Howard M. Wolfe charged his wife Hertha died from poisoning. The jury found carbon monoxide is a poison. Wolfe’s four children survived the tragedy at their home on October 18, 1944.

Five Thousand Dollar Damage Suit Filed in Erie Court
A $5,065.15 damage suit was filed in Erie county court yesterday arising from a March 21 1947 auto accident that left Richard E Kuhn a minor with skull fractures and injuries to a leg. Plaintiff Richard and his parents seek $5,000 for pain and suffering for the boy and $615 for themselves. The defendant named is David Tate alleged driver of the car that struck Kuhn.
