Members of the city's Airport Authority reelected Pai Auer president for the second year at the annual election. Walter Love land was chosen first vice president, with C. Conrad Monroe and S. A. Long reappointed treasurer and secretary. Hubert Vaughn joined the Authority as a new member, appointed by City Council.

NYC Mayor Denies Job To Ex Plotter
New York AP report says Robert S. Collier, 31, convicted two years ago of plotting to blow up the Statue of Liberty and other sites, was denied a $5,700 year Parks Department post in charge of recreational facilities. Mayor Lindsay ordered a study of the case. Parks spokesman cited lack of experience and training. Collier was paroled last March after a five year sentence and five year probation.

General Motors recalled 35,250 of its 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle models for a brake defect not usually causing major problems. About 250 power brake cars may lack a lock-nut on the master cylinder push rod and roughly 35,000 more Chevelles are being recalled to inspect front brake line clearances on cars with 307 or 327 cubic inch V configured engines.
