Tragic death in Madera man in Franklin Hospital
A QL-year-old Madera man, identified as Terry Glenn, died at 4:30 a.m. yesterday at Franklin Hospital after an apparent self inflicted gunshot. Franklin police were summoned to Airways Motel. Glenn had been in critical condition before his death. Police also investigated a parking lot accident and a slippery road two vehicle crash causing minor injuries and $150 damage. Weather forecast predicts snow flurries and cold with highs in the teens to low 20s.

Clearfield Sniper Caught After Two Hour Standoff

Man’s camper stolen as he slept in it in Bethany Oklahoma
Gerald H. Nichols of Tulsa woke to find his pickup camper missing from his daughter's driveway. He escaped through the rear door after the thief fled on icy streets, then hitchhiked to a police station. The camper and Nichols were later found in Ardmore eighty eight miles away. Police say no charges yet against the driver while Nichols will try to identify the thief.
