County Sees Cuts in State Liquid Fuels Aid for Erie
Erie County commissioners expect a possible 25 percent reduction in their share of the state liquid fuels tax fund due to lower gas sales amid the energy crisis. Last year the fund totaled $500,000. it may drop to about $375,000. Corry would feel the impact if county allocations shrink, potentially costing the city several thousand dollars this year. The issue comes as corruption and murder investigations unfold in Meadville, with Wardrop facing murder charges and prosecutors pursuing obstruction charges against Titler and Creamer tied to the Cowden case.
