First Snowmobile Citation Marks New Law Enforcement Case
City police issued the first citation of its kind at 1 10 a m Sunday targeting a snowmobile driver without any motor vehicle accident. Damage High Injuries Slight In Two Crashes
A Union City man sustained minor injuries and $800 damage was done to two cars in an accident yesterday at 4 50 pm on a rural road near Elgin. James R. Maleski 16 of Union City swerved to avoid an unidentified left turning car and struck Melvin St. John 32 of Union City whose car was behind the unidentified vehicle. St. John lost three teeth. damages to his car were about $200 while Maleski’s car had $600 damage. A second crash Saturday at 11 35 on Route 97 involved Eugene Bema Union City traveling not to pase valle ad tad on fees role bound truck driven by Nicholas Pillar 45 of FLD with damages to the car about $400 and the truck $500. Charges are pending.
