McKee Murder Case Baffles County Police

The McKee murder probe stalls with motive unknown and few leads. Police seek witnesses who visited the Standard Service station on Ridge road between 7:30 and 10:30 p.m. the night of the shooting. A .32 caliber bullet linked to a Jefferson case proves irrelevant. an automatic pellet killed McKee as he closed the gas station. A West Springfield car tied to the case is ruled out, and investigators press for any tip to advance the inquiry. In Conneaut, officials pledged cooperation as the probe continues. Separately, a Japanese cherry tree in Seattle bloomed unusually early, startling Dr. J S Thomas.
