Esc Probe To Uncover Skimming at Edinboro College
Erie district attorney Robert Chase will decide on charges in the alleged embezzlement case at Edinboro State College. He and First Assistant DA Bernard Siegel will review the voluminous files over the coming weeks to determine if evidence supports charges or if further investigation is needed. The probe, begun in 1973 by the late Gordon Kennedy and Siegel, centers on a campus based nonprofit used funds mainly from students and state sources, with amounts around $40,000 or more. The state AG has urged a decision. Kennedy fell ill and later died as the investigation slowed.
