Family Tiff Causes Concord Road Crash
A domestic squabble between Corry area families led to a three car crash on Concord Ridge road at 1:30 p.m. injuring two persons and causing $50 damage to the vehicles. Mrs. Eugene Shoemaker, 20, of Centerville, a passenger, was treated and admitted for lacerations at Corry Memorial Hospital, with condition listed as fatal. Another passenger, Mrs. William Ingalls, 41, of RD 3 Corry, was treated and released. State Police said Frank Rogers Sr., 52, of Cranesville, chased a car driven by John Ingalls, 23, RD 3, as Rogers Jr., 24, rammed the Ingalls vehicle, sending it off the road into a tree. Erie Man Higby Charged With Drunkenness and Disorderly Conduct
An Erie man, Douglas M. Higby, 20, was arrested by Corry officers Dana Scouten and Joel Steele after staggering in the street near North Center at 2 a.m. Higby allegedly threatened to kill the officer, abused staff at the station, and vowed to blow up Scouten’s house. He will receive a summons in court.

A former military undercover agent Oliver A. Pierce says he spied for nearly six months on a Colorado youth group and its leader at Ft. Carson Colorado Springs to curb antiwar influence among GIs.
