P R R Passenger Train Delayed After Rod Break
A southbound Pennsylvania railroad passenger train from Corry to Oil City stopped at Tryonville near Titusville when a main rod linking the cylinder to the drive wheels snapped on the locomotive’s right side. The train was halted. a Titusville switching engine and a passenger locomotive later moved it to Oil City, about two hours late. No injuries were reported, though a freight wreck the previous day near Glynson had injured a flagman and delayed service.
