Lily Valley Feb 27 suffices to report Mrs Cyn Buffum found guilty of murder in the first degree for poisoning her husband Willis Buffum. The verdict directs death in the electric chair at Auburn State Prison during the week beginning April 6. The court denied a new trial and set the execution date after concerns over trial conduct and jury instruction. Mrs Buffum will be transported to Auburn with her mother and brother accompanying her.

Serie Feb 27 Andrew Jaeckle 18 entered Watson Paper mill 16th and Holland streets shortly before noon demanding money. He pointed a revolver at the paymaster, causing screams. Patrolman Henry captured him after officers arrived. Jaeckle claimed he wanted his money and asserted no harm was intended. He was disarmed and taken to the station. revolver held three cartridges.
