She lived with the Morris family and was said to suffer from suicidal mania. Yesterday she escaped from a hinge, ran to the barn, and jumped into the flames. The Morris family pleaded with her to come out but she perished as they stood by.
Cottage owners seek national attention for the burglaries near Westfield. One youth is near confessing and may testify about the others implicated. Attempts at settlement by the youths have failed, and tollage owners vow prosecution to reclaim their properties.
