About 12 girls participate many not married yet and all must complete infant development nutrition and parental responsibility courses plus practical child care training. The center across from Berkeley High School operates 8:30 am to 2:30 pm with Casey an aide volunteers including a pediatrician and registered nurse. It began last fall with a 23000 state grant and the school district covers Casey’s salary, facilities can serve up to 40 children.
