Clever Flee cer Is Apprehended in Meadville Scam

A man known as Miller, alias variations, attempted a $70 fraud on a Meadville grocer and meat market, telephoning for groceries to be billed on a $20 note. He was arrested at the Erie Rail station as he tried to board a train to Elmira, New York, after the check for the groceries was found to be forged. The arrest followed an immediate investigation by local police and the Dean grocery firm.

State Singers Cop Honors at Penn State College

The Glee Club from Penn State College will represent Pennsylvania at the National Tar ler Collexiate Glow Club convent in New York in March. Penn State sharers last night defeated five other elitia to win the right to represent Pennsylvania. Carnegie Tech received honorable mention.
