Mrs Albert J Ohrn Rites Held After Friday Death
Mrs Maude B Ohrn wife of Albert J Ohrn of R D 1 died Friday at Corry Hospital at 3 pm after being admitted February 11. Born Kingua July 3 1891 she came to town in 1915 and married February 14 1920. Surviving children include Shirley Mary Elizabeth Lew Brown Patricia Preston Preston Ohrn and others. mother Mrs Elizabeth Preston and a brother and sister in law. Funeral services held at Bracken Keating Funeral Home with calling hours that afternoon.

Harrisburg February 18 associate Press Pennsylvanias local tax law is helping hard hit communities, says Dr. Harold F. Alderfer director of the bureau of municipal affairs. The 1947 act shifted tax sources to ease real estate burden and 1949 limits on rates and removals of coal and farm products. A survey shows 24 cities under the Local Tax Law cut millage or kept it steady, with few increases.
