Multi-vehicle crash injures five near Union City
A two-vehicle collision and a manure spreader crash on Route 8 two miles south of Union City at 6 30 last evening caused $1300 in damage. Drivers were William F. Gran 72 of Titusville Carole A Besansom 16 of Union City and Anthony Downer 16 of Union City all shaken but not seriously hurt. Downer drove the tractor manure spreader while Besansom drove a car north and Cran drove south. Police said Besansom’s car apparently collided with Cran’s vehicle head on sending it into the spreader. Cran occupants left scene. Besansom said no lights on the tractor and she failed to see it until near. Further investigation to determine charges pending.
