Investigating Advertising Practices Triggers Justice Study
The U S Department of Justice has for some time been investigating advertising fees and commissions to determine whether advertising practices involve any view or legal action will follow the study of advertising practices. Elisha Henson of the ANPA says the probe dates to a policy of the antitrust division and aims to curb compulsory publication. The debate references a 1953 Supreme Court ruling on the Times-Picayune ad arrangement, with limits noted on unit advertising legality.
