Five cars crash on steep hill injuring four on road

A truck loaded with pulp wood rolled down a steep hill five miles south of Waterford at 4 15 p m injuring four people including a Niagara Falls honeymooner. Three were taken to Meadville City Hospital with non life threatening injuries while a few others were treated locally. Police say a stalled trailer but the cause remains under investigation.

Three Die In Albany Eagle Motel Fire

Three people perished when a fire destroyed the Eagle Motel near the New York state executive mansion. Firemen reported 16 of 28 guests were permanent residents and no bodies remained identifiable in the charred building.
