Soviet Foreign Minister Molotov unveiled a 60 year European security treaty plan at the Big Four conference. The proposal would bind all nations of Europe including East and West Germany to peace and would bar coalitions that threaten collective security.

State Awards Road Contracts

The state awarded a local road project in Harrisburg and a Crawford County project. The Corry road work covers 0.634 miles of Routes 6 and 277 and Route 20 in Erie, awarded to Paul W. Rebert of Meadville for 179,225 dollars. Crawford County work widens and overlays 2.07 miles of traffic Route 7 in Cambridge with bituminous mix.

Ten Nominees For Chamber Of Commerce Board

Ten members were nominated by the chamber nominating committee for election to the Chamber of Commerce board of directors. Ballots will be distributed later. five directors will be chosen with four serving three years and one two years. Minister Injures Ankle After Rotary Club Visit

Husband testifies in Betti Allen murder trial at Navija

In Navija County Superior Court the husband Raymond Allen described the night in a trailer when Carl J Folk allegedly bound tortured and murdered his wife Betty Faye Allen. He identified Folk as the killer after escaping the rigged scene and hearing gunfire. The defense argues Folk did not intend harm. Indiana Pa. A worker died and eight others were injured when an explosion and ensuing fire ripped through the cont dist collecting section of a plant's steel frame tipple. Man Pleads Innocent in Titusville Stabbing Case

Earl A. Macamton pleaded innocent to assault with intent to kill after allegedly stabbing his wife near 81 John and South Perry. Mrs. McCammon was hospitalized in favorable condition with wounds to the back head and hands. Police said a motorist, Roy Delst of Oil City, witnessed the struggle and helped rush her to the hospital. Macamton was jailed awaiting a preliminary hearing scheduled by the county court.
