Lakewood woman killed by Erie-Lackawanna train
Mabel B. Lawson 58 of Lakewood died instantly at 1 16 p m when struck by an Erie-Lackawanna train near the Route 17 overpass. Coroner Emmett Eckman said she slipped while walking along a temporary roadway beside the tracks. Train crew members witnessed the accident. Plan announced for a Westinghouse plant near Gettysburg to supply elevator components. operation expected spring 1969.
