Two Area Men Burned As Crane Hits Hot Wire
Westfield area accident leaves two men severely burned when a crane on a KuyPeck Inc. roof deck touched a 3200 volt high tension line. Spencer King, 40, suffered third degree burns to his right hand and left knee and faces facial injuries. Norman Lamphere, 41, from Ripley, suffered third degree burns to his right hand and knee with possible arm fracture. Both were hospitalized at Westfield Memorial Hospital in fair to critical condition. The crane operator and workers tried to free the man on the roof after the contact.
