Corry CD chief pleads for restored $2500 budget tie to volunteers

Parmenter, CD chief, told The Journal from Erie that Corry received no funds but did obtain some uniforms and stretchers through the hardware fund. He cites salaries at $24000 yearly for county CD, costs of siren lines and training, and says federal programs cover half hardware and personnel. He warns a $2500 cut threatens operation and 700 volunteers, while noting his lack of job security and pension plan access. Commissioner Hill says the cut does not prove a breach of promise to pension matters.
