Corry Police Department officers secured a one year contract granting a 12.8 percent wage increase and enhanced insurance benefits. Corry Attorney Frank McKnight Dies at 55
Attorney Frank G. McKnight of 740 Wayne Street died early last night after a heart attack at his home. He had been in ill health since July after a prior heart attack. McKnight, 55, ran a private practice, served as solicitor for the Corry Area School District, and was active in church and civic groups. He was born June 28, 1920 in Evanston, Illinois, son of Mrs. Anna Kerr McKnight and the late Rev. Frank S. McKnight. He studied at Westfield and Allegheny, played basketball and track, was in the Allegheny Singers, a Phi Delta Theta member, and a Phi Beta Kappa. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1943, serving three years in the intelligence corps in the Pacific Theater. (Please turn to back page)
