Miss Cathy Fox Seeks Sweetheart Title at Moose Ball
The Women of the Moose sponsor the Valentine Sweetheart Ball on February 14 with Miss Cathy Fox as a candidate. Cathy Fox, daughter of Albert and Jean Fox of 82 East Main Street Columbus, competes during intermission amid other hopefuls. Her activities include Corrian Club American Field Service Girls Athletic Association Color Guard and Senior Tri-Hi-Y Club. She plans to become an x ray technician after high school and enjoys ice skating swimming horseback riding and dancing. Her birthday is November 13. The public is invited to attend the Moose Lodge dance featuring hearts and flowers decorations.

The Mentor Club met at Mrs. Bess Owen’s Maple avenue home with seven members present. A political anecdote filled the roll call. Vice President Miss Naomi Johnson led the business session. Inclement weather postponed the planned program. Mrs. Owen offered an impromptu talk on Birds of North America focusing on birds common to the area. Salad refreshments were served.

Corry Area Rotary Club welcomed Corry High exchange student Hiroshi Tkawa from Gifu Japan as guest speaker at the Tuesday dinner at Corry Motor Inn. He spoke of home life and displayed color slides. Arnold Seastead led the business session and announced next week’s Valentine party at 6 30 p.m. Ladies night will feature special entertainment. A Valentine house will collect valentines for Rotarians and spouses at the desk for delivery. Two guests attended.
