Drowning ends search for 9-year-old Brendon DeMarco in Lowville
Divers found Brendon DeMarco's body wedged around a tree limb six feet beneath French Creek after he fell in Tuesday afternoon. Erie County Sheriff's Scuba team recovered the 9-year-old near an old beaver dam as fire departments and volunteers from Corry area agencies assisted in the scaled search that drew about 100 volunteers. The coroner ruled accidental drowning.
