The body search for 9 year old Brendon DeMarco along French Creek in Lowville resumed at 1:00 a.m. with fire units from Wattsburg Elgin Beaverdam and Stancliff Hose Waterford state police and a scuba team assisting. The boy, visiting Greene Township, vanished Tuesday after reportedly falling into the fast swollen waters between 4 and 4:30 p.m. Also aiding were Erie County Search and Rescue skindivers, and the team faced frigid 36 degree water and icy surface conditions. About 40 volunteers worked alongside, with more volunteers expected.
