Philadelphia AP reports a special commission will meet on January 4 to draft guidelines for selecting a new state Supreme Court justice to fill the vacancy created by Chief Justice Benjamin Jones resignation effective February 28. The commission must submit a list of three names to Governor Milton Shapp by March 6. a 10-year election follows in November 1977 if the appointee seeks a full term.
