His family said two of his three polio shots have been received with the remaining seven children scheduled for shots today.
Baroness Emmy Von Braun, 73, mother of rocket scientist Wernher von Braun, died in Munich after an operation in a local hospital. She passed away last night, according toHospital sources.

Born December 8, 1900 in Chapmanville Pennsylvania, he moved to Corry as a boy and earned a Cornell civil engineering degree in 1928. He worked for Toledo Sexle Erie and the Pennsylvania Turnpike before returning to Corry as city engineer in 1939, a post he held until death. He and his wife celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary the day before. He was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church, the Professional Engineers Society, Corry Lodge of Elks, and Pine Grove Cemetery Association secretary. He is survived by his wife and other relatives. The funeral, at Pine Grove Cemetery, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday after calling hours.

Mrs. Carrie Kirby age 52 of Dedham Massachusetts died from injuries after a four car collision on the Pennsylvania Turnpike last Thursday. The crash occurred in Greensburg area as responders attended the scene and transported victims to area hospitals.

George Turner a former Associated Press reporter and editor died yesterday in Kissimmee Florida. Turner worked for the AP for 32 years before retiring in 1943. He was born in Williams Bridge New York.
