FCC Okays Sale of Erie TV Station
Lamb Communications Inc announced FCC approval for its purchase of Television Station WICU TV in Erie. WICU TV operates on Channel 12 serving parts of Ohio Pennsylvania New York and Ontario and is affiliated with NBC. Arthur Ingram said Lamb’s 1800 shareholders gain equity in a leading operation and that CATV expansion is planned.

Four Boys Arrested In Kane Arson Ring
Kane and James City police report four teenagers confessed to at least eight arson fires in the area. Harry D. Gadley, 17, was jailed on the Christie Warehouse blaze and later rearrested for the McCluskey Lumber Co. fire causing $100,000 damage. The other two juveniles were released to parents as Juvenile Court action is awaited.

Bear Lake Opens School For Kindergarten Pupils
Bear Lake school has reopened for kindergarten with Miss Stackhouse of Jamestown teaching. Sixteen pupils from Lottsville Youngsville and Bear Lake attend. Lunch is served at noon. Allen Martin son of Mr and Mrs Harvey Martin is an appendectomy patient at Corry Memorial Hospital. Watchnight services will be held at Bear Lake Evangelical United Brethren Church Sunday evening. Several local families and relatives share Christmas Day visits and meals at various homes in the area.
