Democratic senators Sparkman and Humphrey say Congress will authorize more new low rent public housing than Eisenhower recommends. They fault current limits, urge flexible annual targets and at least 75 000 units per year, with amendments to cut red tape. Albert M. Cole signals a possible request for 70 000 units in two years.
