Prison Inmates Welcome Families For Christmas Visit
In Western State Penitentiary a new program allowed inmates to touch family members on Christmas day. About 60 to 65 families, including 250 visitors, joined inmates as wives, children and mothers shared hugs and handshakes with their loved ones. Stephaniie Slavik of Pricedale spoke of the long wait and her children’s eagerness to greet their dad.
