City Receives $600000 Grant for Three New Buildings

The city of Corry was awarded a $600,000 federal grant from the Economic Development Administration to build a community center, gymnasium, and senior citizens center in the Fourth Ward Urban Renewal Project. The plan includes a 40000 square foot community center, a 6000 square foot gym, and a 3200 square foot senior center, with construction starting within 90 days of approval.

CIA knew ITT executive would lie before Senate panel

The CIA anticipated Harold Hendrix would misstate his ties to the agency when testifying to a Senate subcommittee on Chile. Hendrix, ITT public relations chief for Latin America, is cooperating with a federal grand jury probing potential CIA ITT conspiracy, fraud and perjury. The investigation targets known associates of ex CIA Director Richard Helms and ITT chairman Harold Geneen. Hendrix already pleaded to a misdemeanor for withholding information.
