FBI agents and police traced a three man robbery at the Boardman Plaza branch of Mahoning County National Bank. The trio stole about $135,000, with $105,000 cash and $30,000 in checks. The Macaulay family, homeowners in Youngstown, were bound and held as the robbers used their car to escape, later encountered at a roadblock with walkie talkies and burglar tools. Police believe careful planning and possible hideout stops occurred before dawn.
Nou Trenion reports the New Jersey Supreme Court ruled 6-0 to uphold the conviction of Mrs. May Zielinski of Millburn for refusing to relinquish a party line telephone during an emergency call. She was fined $200 after Dr. Marvin Becker of Newark sought an ambulance for a heart patient.
Harold A. Gilbert 80 and Larry Longhurst 17% were involved in a minor crash at the Pyat Avenue West Pleasant Street intersection. Gilbert’s Zorry Water Supply Co car was rear ended by Longhurst’s Brig Hurstware truck after Longhurst failed to brake during his turn. Gilbert’s car sustained about $60 in damage. no truck damage reported.

Titusville Mayor C M Sonne again attacked the city treasurer for financial inefficiency at the latest council meeting. He cited mismatched reports between the treasurer and the deputy director of accounts and finance, questioned action before next year, and highlighted a September 15 issue showing overdue July and August statements. The mayor contrasted cash on hand with reported deficits, noting a $28,287 variation between treasurer and deputy finance figures and urging definitive action.
Richard Pavlick of Belmont New Hampshire faces a psychiatric evaluation before a federal prosecution. Assistant U S Attorney Robert Rust said Pavlick is violently anti Catholic and proposed bombing Palm Beach Catholic Church during Mass to kill President elect John F Kennedy. He cited Pavlick’s belief that Kennedy’s election and wealth controlled the White House.
