Morrell on Trial for Slayings In Western Pa Farm Mystery
In Mercer Pennsylvania a 20 year old youth on trial for the October farm slayings of three people denies the crimes and says he helped Janice Graham 20 a blonde girl who is charged as an accessory after the fact. Morrell claims he was on a hill herding cows when the murders occurred and that Janice knew nothing until he came down. The defense argues Morrell was coerced into taking the blame to shield Graham and that a stabbing strangulation occurred after threats. The Commonwealth seeks the death penalty and Graham faces later trial.
