Germans Beaten By Cavalry In Eastern Front Battle
Unofficial Petrograd report claims Russian cavalry defeated German forces near Juromnetua seven miles southeast of Dniva, driving retreat toward Mlaya and Puora. Prior Russian success at Prasnys and Jurominovia enabled a turning move by the right wing, with Germans retreating and heavy casualties reported as the front line buckled. Russians hold Cracow line while Austro-German columns push near Dokla and Carpathians, as Paris notes the Allies’ offensive showing results along the front.
